Core Qualifications
To be considered for this position, applicants should meet the following criteria:
* Education: A Bachelor’s degree in any field, with a strong preference for candidates with a maritime education background.
* Experience: Between 0 and 2 years of relevant experience within the shipping industry.
* Communication: Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, is mandatory.
* Technical Skills: Strong computer literacy and foundational knowledge in shipping, customs, import/export regulations, and agency management.
Key Responsibilities
The Operation Staff will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless flow of our maritime logistics. Daily duties include:
1. Scheduling and Planning: Organizing operational arrangements for vessel calls based on precise schedules and requirements.
2. Lifecycle Monitoring: Overseeing vessel movements and operations from the pre-arrival stage through to departure.
3. Coordination: Acting as the primary liaison between principals, customers, port authorities, surveyors, and CIQP agencies.
4. Documentation: Preparing and submitting all necessary pre-arrival and in-clearance documentation.
5. Service Management: Arranging essential port services, including tugs, pilots, mooring gangs, and berthing schedules.
6. Operational Oversight: Tracking loading and discharging activities to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
